But I do like Mr. Clinton. MJ Lee (POLITICO) reports:
“Mitt’s father would be cheering and would be with Mitt a hundred percent,” Ann Romney said on “Fox & Friends.” “What Mitt suggested was finally what happened, is that they went through a structured bankruptcy. It’s exactly what ended up happening — Mitt just said to do that before they already spent $17 billion.”
I call that as a foul. Mr. Clinton should not have gone there. A parent, especially a dead parent, is not really something someone else will be an expert on and, honestly, Mr. Clinton should have kept his fat mouth shut.
He had a mother (Virginia) who seemed like a smart, sweet, and tough woman. And I am sure she meant the world to him just from photos of the two of them when she was still alive. If he were ever to say or do something that she would not agree with, his daughter could point it out, his wife could, and his brother. That is really about it. He certainly would not want some politician talking about it.
So he really should not have tried to use Mitt Romney's late father to score a political point.
