Awww. So that's where Barack Obama was, hiding behind Hillary's skirt. Yes, it all makes sense. That is everything except his blah-blah speech this evening. What was that nonsense?
"Humanitarian"? It was the Samantha Power doctrine. If you do not know how awful Samantha Power is, you have not been reading the community sites for years now. Unlike Davey D., this community never embarrassed itself praising Samantha Power.
Davey D. owes humanity an apology for his repeated defense of Samantha Power in 2008. He did not know the first thing he was talking about. And I voted for Ralph Nader and not the McKinney ticket because Rosa Clemente was on that ticket and she was right there with Davey D. praising Samantha Power.
It was hilarious to watch then-Green Kimberly Wilder attack Sarah Palin as stupid while pretending that her own Rosa Clemente was a brain. If you go through the community and ask each person who voted for Mr. Nader instead of Cynthia McKinney, you will hear them state over and over that they admire Ms. McKinney but that Ms. Clemente was an embarrassment.
Now the Green Party is considering Ms. Clemente as one of their presidential candidates for 2012. Way to go. If they want to remain obscure and never accomplish anything, go for it. Ms. McKinney has held public office. Ms. McKinney has a voting record.
Besides mumbling about a "Hip Hop Generation" what does Ms. Clemente bring to the table? A whiney indecisive point of view?
And Latinos will not forget her insults in 2008. Ava and C.I. tried to avoid calling out any woman politician in 2008 because of what was done to Hillary. But when Rosa Clemente started her comments that pissed Latinos off, they called it out.
Ms. Clemente is a joke. If the Greens run her they will be a joke.
But they already are, right?
They have wasted two years fawning over Barack Obama when they should have been loudly calling him out, should have been loudly offering counter-solutions. If they ever wanted to gain voters, this was the time. A Democrat was in the White House and the Democratic Party controlled both houses of Congress. Instead of making the case needed, the Green Party worked overtime to give Barack Obama a pass.
If they had any brains, they would get behind Jared Bell who lacks Ms. McKinney's record in Congress but demonstrates a brain and a spine -- clearly putting him ahead of 99% of Democratic Party office holders.
This is C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot" for today:
