I am not sure if you watch ABC on Wednesday nights. I used to keep it on in the background so that when Cougar Town would come up, I would be ready for it. I would sit there with some needlepoint and talk to friends on the phone or to one of my grandchildren and catch Courtney Cox's show or, if my grandchildren were present, that plus Modern Family and Happy Endings.
This season, ABC has had a new hour long drama. It is Rebecca's favorite TV show, Revenge. I have caught the last six or seven new episodes. You cannot know Rebecca and not watch because she loves it and she will get you hooked on it. Emily (the woman in the screen snap above) is getting revenge on all the people who wronged her late father. That includes Victoria Grayson who had an affair with Emily's father, had a child with him, and betrayed him.
Madeline Stowe plays Victoria and she is probably my favorite character on the show. She is just so deliciously evil.
(Though Emily is the one out for revenge, thus far at least, she has been sympathetic. You root for her. But Victoria is just evil in a way we have not seen on TV in years.)
Now this is just disgusting. The New York Daily News reports $1 million lottery winner Amanda Clayton of Michigan is in trouble. She's facing fraud charges. For?
For continuing to take food stamps and public health after she had her winnings.
If that is true, that is just really sad.
People need food stamps, for example, and when those who do not need them take them, it makes the entire program look bad.
This is C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot" for today:
