George Kaiser, White House visitor, donor to and bundler for Mr. Obama, went around insisting to members of the House Energy Committee that he did not lobby the White House on Solyndra. Of course, he did that in one-to-ones and not before the Committee. Darren Samuel Sohn reported on that for POLITICO and he also reports:
As the morning progressed, I would make at least one more pot of coffee. I had not made the first one planning to drink it or even planning anything. I just knew my parents were upset and I was trying to bring normalcy to the morning -- which meant that we had coffee brewing. (I had drank coffee many times before on my own or with friends but never before in front of my family.)
