What a great Sunday to have both of them contributing at TCI. And talk about making me feel guilty. I should have done a radio report. (Before I started this blog, I used to do a weekly -- sometimes twice weekly -- "Ruth's Report" at TCI.)
Ben Smith (POLITICO) reports on some people upset by a fund raising e-mail from Barack Obama's re-election campaign. I am more upset with Ben Smith. This is part of Christine Jenning's e-mail (she sent a copy to Mr. Smith):
While I may be disappointed in some of the compromises the Administration has made, I am, and will continue to be, a proud Democrat, and a proud Obama supporter. I will support and defend the President, and will continue to urge my clients to register to vote - and to vote for Democrats... but you are going to have a damnably difficult time in getting a dime out of me for a long time to come unless an apology is forthcoming - and that right soon!
Yes, she should support and defend the Constitution, not whomever happens to be in the Oval Office but Ms. Jennings is not very smart. Mr. Smith tells us that Ms. Jennings works for a firm handling Social Security disability claims. And she is telling people how to vote? That is really not her place. I think she needs to be re-aquainted with her job duties and it needs to be conveyed to her that those in need of help are not her personal voter pool.
This is C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot" for today:
