I would think you could then argue that dual citizens are not allowed to donate to campaigns.
If the intent was to prevent foreign influence, than that would prevent those holding dual citizenship.
I really think this issue needs to be pursued.
It would prevent people like Anna Wintour, born in England, from being a bundler in any campaign, including Barack Obama's. Amie Parnes (POLITICO) reports:
Really. Sounds to me like a bribe, sounds to me like attempting to secure influence. If the law bars foreigners from donating to a presidential campaign, I think those dual citizenship would also be barred for the same reasoning. I think this needs to be brought before a court.
