Former Vice President Al Gore has done something worth applauding yet again.
Darrell Samuel Sohn (POLITICO) reports:
Good for Mr. Gore. The environment is not something that can wait. In 2005, I remember a groundswell of enthusiasm for addressing the issue, an urgency about it, and how it would be a big part of the 2008 election.
That was not the case and I never saw a Democrat with a weaker defined environmental 'program' who ran for president than Barack Obama.
He became President Obama and I have not been impressed with the environment which I had (wrongly) thought would be the one area that he might please me because he did appear to have a few smart people around him on this issue.
Instead of addressing the global problem, we have wasted three years.
It is distressing. I worry about the world we are leaving my grandchildren (and their grandchildren years from now).
I applaud Mr. Gore for again saying what needed to be said.
