So I assumed Cougar Town was not on either. Jayson was over setting up my new laptop for me and we were talking with the TV on in the background. It was not until Susan e-mailed me Friday morning asking what I thought of the episode that I knew the show had aired.
So I streamed it online.
This one was a great episode. Last week, I wrote about how it was not a bad opening but they seemed to lose Jules in it. This episode didn't have that problem.
Jules was planning her wedding to Grayson. Ellie and Lori were co-mos -- co maids of honor. (And do not write me to inform me that since Ellie is married, she would be a matron of honor. The term "matron of honor" never came up on the show and when Jules asked Ellie to be her "maid of honor," that was the term she used, "maid of honor.") Bobby made it clear he was okay with the wedding by building a 'swing' from Grayson's home to Jules' home. And Grayson had to visit Jules' father's home (with Jules' son) to ask for Jules' hand in marriage. The father told him he would have to shoot a horse. It was a test. And not funny. The only funny part in that was after Travis and Grayson were riding the same horse together and Travis was complaining that Grayson's beard left a burn on the back of his neck and Grayson had a reply.
So the wedding will be in the spring and on Tuesday. In the spring so that Lori's ankle bracelet is off (D.U.I.), Tuesday because Bobby has that day off.
It was a really funny episode. That included Jules not being able to say no when Lori wanted to be a co-maid of honor so having to pretend like she was going to Ellie first and then having to pretend (with Ellie watching but not hearing) that she was asking Lori for the first time.
Lori is doing all the work required except the toast. Ellie is grabbing the toast.
This is C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot" for today:
